Book Reader Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Book Reader handles information in connection with the Android application.
Overview
Book Reader is designed as an offline reading application. It does not require user registration, login, advertising identifiers, subscriptions, or cloud synchronization to function.
Information the App May Access
- Book files and folders selected by the user for import
- Book metadata extracted from imported files
- Reading progress, bookmarks, and reader preferences stored on device
- Local crash logs generated on the device after an app failure
How Information Is Used
- To import and display books selected by the user
- To save reading position and personalized reader settings
- To organize the local library and improve usability
- To help diagnose technical issues using local crash information
Network Access
The planned production version of Book Reader is intended to work fully offline. It does not use analytics services, ad networks, or backend APIs for normal reading functionality.
Data Sharing
The publisher does not intentionally collect books, reading data, or personal account data on its own servers through the app.
Data Retention
Data stored by the app generally remains on the user's device until it is deleted by the user or removed when the app is uninstalled.
Children's Privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children unless explicitly stated otherwise in the store listing.
